Electoral Ban Lifted: UADS Ushers In A New Electoral Season

The gate of service has swung open once more, as the electoral ban on the Unibadan Association of Dental Students for the 2024/2025 academic session was lifted on July 2nd, 2025. The current tenure is officially due for transition, and the sale of electoral forms commenced today, July 3rd. The Senate and Executive positions will once again be reshuffled to determine who will steer the association's affairs in the coming session. 

This session unfolds at relatively odd times. Uniquely, the association is currently experiencing something rare— a backlog of students, at least for the next few months. The coming tenure will be unusually long and demands not recycled answers but innovation, dedication, and a new wave of motivated individuals ready to serve. We hope that political apathy, both from students and potential candidates, will fade, if not disappear entirely.

The full timetable for the 2025/2026 UADS Elections is as follows:
July 3rd – 16th: Purchase and Submission of Election Forms
July 22nd: Screening Night
July 24th: Press Night
July 25th: Manifesto Night
July 26th: Voting
