In a commendable move to connect with their constituencies and set the tone for a productive tenure, on Friday, 26th of June 2024,  the newly elected executives of the UniIbadan Association of Dental Students visited the preclinical arm of the association. In attendance were the President of the association, Mr. Omotoso Kehinde, the Vice-President, Mr. Okelue Patrick, the Sports Secretary, Mr. Babawande, the Treasurer, Miss Oyelowo Aishah, the Public Relations Officer,  Mr. Aremu Abass, and the Assistant General Secretary, Miss Ukaegbu Judith. The General Secretary, Miss Stephanie Durojaiye, was unavoidably absent.

Their first stop was the 300L constituency. The meeting, which began at 1:21 pm, started a few hours after the 300L Anatomy CA4. The newly elected officials introduced themselves and their positions while the President stated the purpose of the meeting.

He explained that the meeting aimed to ensure the 300L constituency was doing well academically and in all aspects of their lives. He encouraged them to join committees, as this would help them develop relevant skills for the future. He also emphasized the importance of paying dues, as the association depends on these funds to support members, especially during professional exams.

The Treasurer discussed different payment plans to accommodate individuals who cannot afford to pay all at once. She mentioned a monthly plan of N500 and a semester plan of N1,500.

Mr. Abdulquareeb raised a concern about holding some sporting activities at the University of Ibadan (UI), where half of the association's members are based. The Sports Secretary responded that most sporting facilities are more accessible at UCH, which is why transportation is often provided for members coming over there. Hence, the inability to hold sporting activities in UI.

The meeting concluded at 1:41 pm with 19 members of the 300L constituency present. All other raised issues were addressed accordingly. The executives proceeded to visit the 200L and 100L constituencies, demonstrating their commitment to engaging with all members of the association.
