Dentatics Press Appoints 2024/2025 Executives

Many have opined, that if planet Earth has a consciousness, it is extremely fond of keeping things balanced. And so it is, that despite man’s best efforts to ruin the planet on which we find ourselves, somehow... just somehow, we manage to never spin out of control. I dare not state that Gaia’s measures to maintain the peace she dearly loves are always sane, never. Who here has seen a category three hurricane rip a house to shreds or lift a mother and fling her too far away from the child she refused shelter for? If you have, you can agree. Sometimes, Mother Gaia’s love is truly tough.

What we know is this, even when correction must be attained through hard knock measures, Gaia loves balance. Eventually, winds cease and storms calm, what stopped starts, and and what started stops. The sun shines again, the moon grins at night. The clouds of anger leave, leaving us the bright eyes of the guardian who birthed us so many years ago. And too often, these periods; where deficits become so large they are consequences, pass. We are gathered here, reading this corny article together to celebrate a similar change. The Dentatics Press, an organization that recently became more prominent, is celebrating change.

The Dentatics press started for a simple reason; a set of knights that will proudly drag its executives, mock its members(satirically), and try to keep both members and non-members informed of events inside and outside the department; of politics, celebrities, of national and school news, of fiction and everything in between.  Alonge Rasaq(former Deputy Editor-In-Chief, now the Alexander Brown Hall Social and Buttery Minister and sadly, an ex-pressman) and Dr Oluwatosin Ayobami(former Editor-in-chief and also sadly, ex-pressman) are the superheroes who upheld the activities of the Dentatics press and oversaw an organization that has stood the test of time.  We also wholeheartedly applaud and appreciate the unsung heroes, past Editors-In-Chief of Dentatics Press,  that now look silently on from exalted posts; Dr. Adeniyi-Aogo Temiloluwa (BDS, Ibadan), Dr Adetula David(BDS, Ibadan). Their contributions have been invaluable, and their legacy continues to inspire and shape the press.

Days after interviews at the UADS secretariat in Alexander Brown Hall, these people were chosen, and knighted to carry the press a few more steps forward;

Bello Taiwo Victoria – Editor-In-Chief
Salami Wisdom – Deputy Editor-In-Chief
Shittu Habeeb – Treasurer
Olajide Olamide – Clinical Correspondence
Bina Jesse – Preclinical Correspondence
Abiona Michelle - Welfare Officer

May they not be starved of the happening things and writeable information. May Dentatics press readers “ always get the fresh full gist” regardless of how rampant or esoteric the news is. Let us pray and hope, that the loud silence at their inauguration is replaced by shouts of commendation and recommendation throughout the year. Like the Holy Book says, “We will ever shine brighter and brighter until we hit an imitable plateau of a perfect day”
