No Date For Physical Resumption Yet - UI Management
By David Adetula
The viral report and rumour that the University of Ibadan has decided on a date for her students to resume physically is false, Dentatics Press can confirm.
In a Special Release issued on Saturday, May 22 and signed by the Registrar of the institution, Olubunmi O. Faluyi, the management said it is yet to fix any date for physical resumption.
"This is to inform the University community and the general public, especially staff, students, parents and guardians that Management has not fixed any date for the physical resumption of academic activities for the rest of 2020/2021 Academic Session".
The Release however confirmed that the school is currently considering recalling students back to physically for the rest of the 2020/2021 academic session but it is awaiting the report of the Ad-hoc Committee set up by the Senate to "to propose a date and implementation plan".
"The Committee is expected to submit its report on Monday, 24 May, 2021 for the consideration of Management.
"Given the above, Management hereby dissociates itself from publications which have gone viral on the social media on the matter," the Registar added.
