Dentatics Press Appoints New Executives For The 2024/2025 Tenure

Ambivalence is often associated with the press. Many people are torn between their love for the brutal and shocking exposès, the explanatory and educative pieces, the opinionated essays—while also remaining wary of the press's control over information and skeptical of its allusion to "impartiality" and being "apolitical". Yet, the outgoing Dentatics Press executives leave little room for ambivalence.  Their tenure followed the code to the letter: "Always make a good entrance, and a much better exit."

The tenure started on a Saturday, almost exactly one year ago. On that day, Dentatics Press, an organization beginning to gain a semblance of activity was placed into new hands. These hands were a bit green, a little young, and the silence that heralded their entry was tinged with caution.  Now, these hands leave to applause. This press tenure saw innovations and many improvements. There were challenges, yes, but they were crossed and conquered. The press is stronger, and hurray to that.
But, even the most capable hands must pass the baton.  Now, it is that time again: a new set of hands needs to steer the wheels of the press.

The new executives are:

Editor-in-Chief - Wisdom Salami
Deputy Editor-in-Chief - Olajide Olamide
Treasurer - Abiona Michelle
Public Relations Officer - Shittu Opeyemi Habeeb
Features Editor - Abdulrahmon Quareeb
Preclinical Correspondent - Amole Mustapha

We invite the public to join us on this journey for another year. We look forward to your support, your rumors, your tidbits, and your news. May we never fall out of line nor fail to hear the story around us. Cheers to more transparency, more articles, a better press, and a better association. Cheers to the Unibadan Association of Dental Students.
