UADS Electoral Commission Okays Electoral Campaigns To Commence

The Electoral Commission of the Unibadan Association of Dental Students, UADSEC’s proposal to lift the ban on political campaigns has been approved by the Senate of the association, giving way for the official commencement of this year’s electoral process.  This decision was reached sometime mid-way into the 11th Senate meeting of the association which held on Saturday, 30th April, 2022 at the Famewo Common Room (FCR) in Alexander Brown Hall.

The Senate meeting which lasted about 4 hours had the Chairperson of UADSEC, Miss Bukola Oduntan present to the senators, a proposal of the commission towards the election. The same proposal schedules elections into various offices of the UADS Executive Council and Senate to hold on Saturday, 21st May 2022.

At the same meeting, the proposed budget of the electoral commission was also approved by the Senate. Other decisions made at the meeting included the adoption of the 40th Health Week’s Report, which had been thoroughly deliberated in the Senate Meeting that held last week and the End of Tenure Financial Review.
