The notification for the competition was sent to the different class groups by the association president and then all responders (8 of them) had to work as a group to come up with an idea for the contest. The group had a strict timeline and to come up with an idea and make it ready for the competition. A deep literature review was done to find what was currently working and what needed improvement regarding the niche being worked on.

The Future Dentists Career Fair themed Dentistry untapped: discovering pathways, exploring niches and creating global impact started with a lecture on the role of dentists in research given by Professor Morenike Ukpong, a renowned Professor of Paediatric Dentistry and the Executive Director of the Central Office of Research at Obafemi Awolowo University. She is a recognized expert in adolescent health, HIV/AIDS research, and bioethics, and a fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science. She spoke about the different branches of research available in dentistry, including opportunities available for students.

Dr. Akinbami, the African dentist is a popular aesthetic dentist who owns two clinics in Lagos. He is well-known for social advocacy work and his work as a content creator. He gave a second lecture on the more unconventional routes in dentistry. He spoke on four frontiers, including mission and non-governmental organizations, advocacy, public health, and clinical work in rarer specialties. Specialties such as forensic odontology, airway and sleep dentistry, special needs and geriatric dentistry were mentioned.

After this, there was a tea break. Pancakes, fruit salad, and zobo or tiger nut milk were served. Following this was a breakout session in groups including military dentistry, Non-governmental Organizations and social entrepreneurship, association leadership, public health, and civil service

The dental innovation challenge came up as the last event. Seven schools were initially signed up for the event. Lagos State University, University of Lagos, and Afe-Babalola University could not be present for reasons unknown. Lead City University was also absent due to security concerns. The eventual contestants were from Obafemi Awolowo University, the University of Ibadan, and the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo State.

On speaking with the president of the association about how he felt on this third win in a recent streak, he said, "I am very happy, and I believe these will serve as stepping stones for more victories in the future. The NADS football competition, which will culminate at the NADS regional convention, is coming up soon. UADS will also be participating. I am a competitive person by nature, and I believe that we will be going for gold once again. We may not get it, but we will not go for anything less".
